Our Stand
Today a LAW was passed in the U.S. in favor of Gay Marriage. We brought this before the Lord, and He began to talk to us about the word LAW. He reminded us that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the LAW of 'sin and death'. "Why is it such a shock", He asked, “that the lost would pass a LAW of 'sin and death'. It is all they know. We should not expect the world to act like anything but like the world. They have a harsh task master."
Regarding our ability to participate in Homosexual unions; our authority to marry is a spiritual one and comes from God, based on His word. He does not join people of the same sex in marriage, so we have no power to do so. Since the government has chosen to do what God will not, same sex couples can go to them for their recognition.
However, we WILL love the people! Remembering, it is the sick that need a physician. How will they ever get saved without hearing and experiencing the LOVE of God? It is the LOVE of God that leads people to repentance.
I am so glad that when I was a sinner the Lord FIRST LOVED ME! He loved me, saved me, filled me with His precious Holy Spirit, He wrote the law upon my heart, and He the Holy Spirit convicts me of sin. I am able to be forgiven of ALL sin as I run into His loving arms! He did not first convict me of sin, fill me with His Holy Spirit, save me, and then finally love me.
We MUST walk in love, if it was easy it wouldn’t be a command! Without love we are NOTHING, just making a bunch of noise. We do not join in, accept or submit to any sin! But we love people! Satan is screaming in their ears constantly that God made them wrong and He hates them.
Don't you get in agreement with satan! They are broken, beaten and in bondage, blind to the love of God. Just like you were before you were saved.
Remember when they brought the adulterous woman to Jesus? What was the response? To the accusers, “You without sin, throw the first stone.” But to the adulterous woman, who was grateful for the love & mercy shown her. Jesus said, ”Go, and sin NO MORE
